Miss Dogfish caught in her fishing net 4 animals. They are all very peculiar. We are trying to recognize them. This workshop is a real sensory and memory discovery.

Fishing business

Through a sensory workshop, children can touch and feed animals, but also taste seaweeds to understand their role in the food chain. This workshop is a way to learn to make the difference between animals and plants.

From experiences and concrete information, pupils think about reasons and consequences of marine pollution and overfishing. They also study the impacts on animals and environment.

Save the sharks

- Workshop duration: 1hour + unguided visit

Locomotion, reproduction, nutrition are the subjects of this workshop. Children can touch rays and sharks in the touch pool to become real scientific apprentices. They will learn how to collect rays’ eggs on the beach to protect animal species.

Cooking lessons

- workshop duration: 2 hours (guided visit included)
From concrete information signs, pupils are supposed to recreate the food chain and observe links between the different parts of the chain. The guided visit will show the way to cook fishes and preserve the endangered animal species.

The fish jumped over the moon

- Workshop duration: 1hour + unguided visit

Through this workshop, pupils become actors and transform themselves into stars to simply explain the tides’ phenomenon. They are then lead to understand how animals adapt themselves thanks to simulators.

Sea wonders

This workshop is a way to show how species adapt themselves to their environment. As they grow, they learn how to eat, to protect themselves against predators. Notions of imitation, territoriality, symbiosis will be approached. A summary will be made around the touch pool.

All aboard!

To become sailors, children discover the secret of the marine knots and learn important notions of navigation such as port and starboard, cardinal buoys... Then, they go fishing around the tactile pool to know the animals of our coasts. A sailor license is given to each pupil at the end.

Behind the scenes

Discover the daily job of an aquariologist by exchanging with him. From the water recycling area to the quarantine rooms, pupils will understand how the aquariologist watches over the health and security of animals. In partnership with “Tetra”, an instructive and playful set will be distributed to every pupil.
